Gary Rosen, intellectual property lawyer and Drexel University law professor, published his excellent and exhaustive study of the life and times of copyright hero Nathan Burkan: Adventures of a Jazz Age Lawyer: Nathan Burkan and the Making of American Popular Culture (University of California Press 2020). This publication follows Rosen’s similarly comprehensive, and ultimately poignant, book about copyright pariah Ira Arnstein: Unfair to Genius: The Strange and Litigious Career of Ira B. Arnstein (Oxford University Press 2012).
