Chris Lester alleges that he composed, recorded, and registered his song “Nowhere Fast.” He also alleges that U2 had access to and copied a substantial portion of the song in “Vertigo.” U2 denied the allegations. The suit reached the final pre-trial conference but was dismissed with prejudice within a week of the trial date with each party bearing their own costs.
Although “Vertigo” is easily accessible with a sample posted above, “Nowhere Fast” is not available.
